HILLTOP VALLEY GOLF COURSE

The 27-hole Hilltop Valley Golf Club was created by IMG and offers a distinctive challenge amid the stunning mountain range environment, which includes views of the Da River, hills, and valley. It takes less than two hours to go to the golf course, which is roughly sixty kilometers west of Hanoi and reachable by paved roads. The international Geleximco corporation owns the Hilltop Valley project. The first 18-holes opened for play in 2019.

The site’s severe elevation fluctuations from one place to another set it apart from most other golf courses in Vietnam. It makes for a distinctive golf course with several memorable holes due to its varied topography, an abundance of green space, and stunning views. The red rocky outcrops and white sand bunkers contrast with the lush green Paspalum grassed course. As the course ages, it will gain a solid reputation as a nice, well-kept resort layout among Vietnam’s golf courses. The Mini-Verde Bermuda grass greens are maintained at a moderate playing speed with gentle undulations.

The majority of the first nine holes are played in valleys with soft, gentle slopes that deflect errant drives toward the fairway centers. These holes are designed for numerous pars with a few birdies and only have modest bunker complexes. The back nine holes follow the mountain ridgeline.

The thirteenth and fourteenth holes are among the hardest. On the former, a 200-yard par-3 course winds around a pond and crosses a ravine. Any shot that is not perfectly accurate will be lost or get soaked. The tee shot on the following hole, which plays down to the blind fairway, is just as difficult.

Holes 19-27 have even more severe elevation change, which offers magnificent views of the surrounding landscape. The stylish clubhouse boasts stunning views of the 18th green and is thoughtfully designed. Most golfers’ needs are satisfied by posh lockers, a neighborhood restaurant, and a simple pro shop. There will be a new city with a variety of sports, entertainment, and commercial venues, as well as hotels, villas, and resorts, in addition to the golf courses. The goal of Geleximco is to develop an urban region outside of Hanoi and an integrated golf community.
