Sandbelt Trails Course – Mission Hills Haikou Hainam China

The incredibly tough Sandbelt courses in Australia served as the model for Sandbelt Trails. A course with huge bunkers characterized by high sand flashes and crisp, thick lips rising over fairway and green surfaces is inspired by courses like Royal Melbourne, Kingston Heath, and the Metropolitan Club. Many of these bunkers transition to native jungle foliage without a clear edge, producing a far more natural landscape than the formal bunkers that are bordered by turf. Big greens have lots of movement, and the unique appearance is enhanced by square tees. Eucalyptus is the most common tree, in keeping with Australian influences.
