Lava Fields has significantly less tree cover than the Tournament Course, but sharing many similarities with it, including as erratic grass lines and untamed bunkering. The black rock and sand dominate the terrain like no other course in the world, and the sense of space gives the course a grand appearance. It is also capable of holding major events at 7400 yards.
The Vintage is based on the traditional courses constructed at the start of the 20th century. On the one hand, the layout has a really natural vibe to it, with holes thoughtfully placed on the already-formed topography to preserve the heavily wooded area as much as possible. Simultaneously, a large portion of the feature work makes use of peculiar, occasionally geometric shapes and quirky, distinctly ancient elements. Reputable golf courses like Garden City, Maidstone, the National Golf Links, Fishers Island, and Chicago Golf Club were contributed to for the design of this course.
The Black Stone course is recognized as Asia’s top championship course, venue for the annual World Ladies Championship and the biennial World Celebrity Pro-Am.
The 350-acre Blackstone Course, which winds through an impressive setting of large lakes and marshes, dense jungle flora, and mature trees, is the golf course’s crown jewel. The main feature of the site is the lava rock bed that was covered in material. A great deal of effort was taken to locate as many natural holes as possible in order to avoid cutting the rock and maintain the spectacular Lychee trees, as the naturally rolling terrain experiences severe elevation changes.
