PETE DYE – MISSION HILLS

Course Designer

Pete Dye

China’s first Dye design is the Pete Dye Course. It provides a noticeable contrast to the other 11 layouts at Mission Hills, giving the player a distinctive appearance. It’s short by today’s standards at just over 6,800 yards and par 72, so you’ll need to be creative with your shot-making. Small pot bunkers, a long tee to green waste areas, railroad ties used as sleepers, and pathway steps framed by tall, wild grasses to create a striking visual contrast are just a few of the features that players have traditionally associated with easily walkable Dye Courses. The several short par 4 holes have crazily undulating greens.
